Biographies

The founder of betterdays industries is Ben Bridgstock. Ben has many years experience as a counsellor, supervisor, facilitator, teacher, public speaker and manager. Ben has also either been a paid worker or volunteered in various counselling agencies in the UK as well as spending two years overseas working in a voluntary capacity.

Ben has written and published one book, and has two books schedules for publication in the spring of 2007. ‘Bridle Thine Anger’ is a book on surviving, repairing and healing the hurts caused by dysfunctional families (order Bridle Thine Anger online now). ‘Spiritual Problem Solving’ is a book on using scriptural examples of spiritual problem solving used in the past to resolve the very practical and physical problems of today‘s families (order Spiritual Problem Solving online now).  The ‘Joseph Smith family’ is a biography of the entire family of Joseph Smith, the prophet and founder of the Latter Day Saint Church. Ben has trained or worked with the following organisations; North East Council on Addictions, Cruse Bereavement Care, The Samaritans, the Alzheimer’s Disease Society and the Latter Day Saint Church as well as working in private practice.

Ben has formal qualifications in the following subjects; Counselling & Human Relations, Clinical Supervision, Life Coaching, Family Therapy, Couples Therapy, Solution Focussed Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Transactional Analysis Therapy, Interviewing and Management.

Ben is a member of the following professional organisations; British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists, UK Council for Psychotherapy, European Association for Counselling, International Coach Federation and The Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals.
